Family Camp - Ingeli Lodge

Friday night we enjoyed a lovely dinner as a group and allowed opportunity for everyone to get to know each other and just have some time to relax after the trip.

After a full English breakfast, the mums were pampered with a pedicure and the dads and sons took a leisurely scenic walk to the dam. The paramedics who were always present and accommodating were able to assist those kids who were too tired to trek back.

The children enjoyed various activities like volleyball, tennis, soccer and their favourite, the jungle gym. After a lovely lunch the families had an opportunity to have a family photo shoot.

Once the photo session was done, we gathered all the families together so they could put together a family collage. It was quite interesting to see how all the families enjoyed their time together while completing the collage. Their family stories were truly inspiring.

During the collage session we decided to introduce a “silly photo session.” Each family had an opportunity to choose a few silly props and to do a crazy family shoot. The results were hilarious. Dinner was a special occasion. It was “Date Night” We had individual tables set up for the moms and dads with rose petals strewn across the table and we gave each dad a red rose to present to their special ladies.

The kids were treated to a lovely meal and milkshakes for dinner.

On Sunday morning the children went and enjoyed a fun game of adventure golf, while our parents were treated to an inspiration talk from our paramedics Shane and Vanessa who have overcome many challenges including cancer. After the talk we present the families with photo frames filled with photo’s we had taken over the weekend. This allowed each family to go away with something to remind them of their time at family camp.

The weekend proved to be a wonderful time for our families. They enjoyed all the resort had to offer, they got to spend some good quality family time and also make new friends. Thank you to Ingeli Forest Lodge for their continued support of our Family Camp.
