Sean's Dream Come true!

When I walked into Sean’s room I could see the anticipation in his eyes – this was not the same boy I saw earlier in the week! I had a short chat with him but I could see he was anxious to see why I was really there. After letting him suffer with suspense I let 3 ladies enter the room with his dream.

When Sean saw that the three ladies were actors from his favorite TV show, 7de Laan, his smile got bigger and bigger. I don’t think he could believe his eyes! We put his dream onto the trolley in front of his bed so that we could wheel it closer to him. The wrapped dream in front of him was so big that we couldn’t see Sean on the other side of the bed! All three ladies (Annelie, San-Marie & Clara) dove right in and helped Sean unwrap his dream.

The look on Seans face when he saw his great big Hi-Fi was priceless. Not only did he get a Hi-Fi but 4 CD’s full of Afrikaans music – his favorite! The three ladies spent some time chatting to Sean and encouraged him to stay positive through this difficult time. I truly believe that this dream was true encouragement for this young man. When it came time to leave we noticed that Sean started to get some color back in his cheeks. This will truly be a day he will never forget. -
