Dream Riders

DreamRiders-updated

One of our biggest annual fundraising campaigns is our Dream Riders initiative which encourages cyclists to ride the 947 Cycle Challenge as part of our Dream Riders team and fundraise our Foundation. We are very fortunate to have Nedbank as a sponsor who cover the administrative costs of the team which ensures that 100% of the funds raised by the riders goes to the fulfilment of sick children’s dreams.

In addition to knowing that you’re riding for a wonderful purpose, you will get the benefits of:

    • quality Dream Rider cycling shirt,
    • fantastic goodie bag
    • 2 Water bottles (the good kind)
    • appreciation function before the race to meet the other Dream Riders and to collect the goodie bag
    • hospitality tent at the end of the road race with massage therapists, drinks, snacks and toilets facilities
    • we also have a very active training group that rides at the Cradle most weekends and is suitable for all experience levels

The Top fundraisers become part of the 2017 Dream Catchers club and sponsor a dream of their choice for one of the Reach For A Dream children.

Should you wish to proceed with joining our team, you will need to commit to raising a minimum of R1800 and can be rest-assured that 100% of these funds raised go towards fulfilling dreams for children with life-threatening illnesses.

To date, the Dream Riders campaign has raised over R6 million for the Foundation. Thank you to each and every Dream Rider for believing in the power of a dream. You showed considerable generosity by cycling for children facing life-threatening illnesses. These funds help to enrich the lives of our very special children, who display remarkable courage during this frightening and lonely period in their lives.

Brian was a Dream Rider who tragically passed away after taking part in this year’s Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge. He has been involved with the Foundation since 2002.

We thank you Brian for your selfless act of wanting to help make dreams come true. May his dear soul rest in peace.
