Motorbike madness!

Tlotliso is a 4 year old boy who lives in Lesotho with his mother. When we did his assessment, he told us that his dream is to have a motorbike with sounds, lights and all. After quite a search we found the perfect motorbike for Tlotliso. When his dream was fulfilled, he was initially a little overwhelmed but as soon as we showed him exactly how it works we couldn’t get him to stop. The bike looked just like a real one and even had buttons that made different siren sounds. He was super excited about his dream and told his mother that he’s not going to share it with anyone. This was exactly what this little boy always dreamed off and definitely a very special day for him.

Music to her ears

Simbabalwe is 12 years old and dreams of becoming a professional pianist. Her dream was to have her own piano so that she can practice more often.

On the morning of her dream, the piano was delivered to her house set up on the dining room. We tied a huge red ribbon around the piano and waited for her to come back from school. When she walked into the dining room there were shrieks of excitement! She could not believe that it was her very own piano. For a long time she just stood there, staring at her piano! Then, in true pianist style she entertained us by playing some of her favourite music. She was beaming from ear to ear!

My very own cell phone

14 year old Michael is one of those boys that just steal your heart from the very first moment you sit down and chat with him. He told us that it is very tough for him to be in hospital without being able to talk to his mother and brother, as they are very close. His dream was to have have his own cell phone. We bought him a special slide phone in his favourite colour, blue. He was very happy when he opened his box and saw the phone he said that this was exactly what he wanted. He couldn’t wait to call his brother to share the good news!
